The ADD/ADHD Diagnostic and Treatment Center is
dedicated to providing quality holistic mental health care services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Difficulty with attention can negatively affect academic performance and peer relationships. Education and family are pillars upon which a child’s future is based. Academic success leads to a solid self-concept, positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and motivation. Academic difficulty leads to low self-concept, low confidence, low self-esteem, and underachievement. ADD/ADHD children often struggle in the classroom; however, these struggles can be viewed as opportunities to learn. The manner in which difficulties are handled within the classroom and at home can make a difference in a child’s life. The ADD/ADHD Diagnostic and Treatment Center’s philosophy is based on a multimodal approach that offers the child opportunities to learn behaviors that lead to success. One of the goals is to instill a spirit of cooperation and collaboration between family and school. The message to the child is, “We are here to help you succeed.” |
